About us

AFESU Moinho is one of the three units of AFESU, a non-profit organization that has been providing professional training for women who live in the peripheral regions of São Paulo since 1963.

To promote the reduction of the inequality of opportunities and women’s empowerment, AFESU Moinho offers free courses that facilitate women’s entry into the labor market:

  • For children and teenagers 11-15 years old: playful and pedagogical workshops during the school counterturn that aim the improvement of students’ school performance. In addition to occupying their time, avoiding situations of idleness and social risk, the students have the opportunity to enrich their cultural universe.

 

  • For young people 15-18 years old: initiation on their professional life with technical training classes that facilitate access to a first job in Gastronomy, Reception and Events. The provided courses include classes about English, Computing, Entrepreneurship, Confectionary, Bakery, Math applied to the kitchen and Literature: family recipes.

 

  • For young people 17-23 years old: technical courses in Cooking and Hospitality segments offer a high level of professional training. Its main differentials are human training and technical visits, made in partnership with companies, that allow the entry in the labor market.
